Four years ago, Ravi Mikkelsen stepped foot on a GRID solar installation project for the very first time. He had worked in the energy and climate industries throughout his career, but like many GRID volunteers, it was his first time helping to install a system.
GRID Alternatives Inland Empire (GRID IE) was awarded funding from the Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund (TSAF) to solarize eight homes on the Chemehuevi Tribal Reservation in Lake Havasu, California. Of the eight low-income homes these tribal families will receive solar, four have already been installed.
