Neil Pierce
Solar Installation Trainer
Neil Pierce is a Workforce Development Fellow at GRID Alternatives, Central Valley. His service term is 11 months long, beginning on September 18th, 2023. During his time, Neil will assist Workforce development with all the various training programs GRID Alternatives offers.
Before serving with Solarcorps, Neil was self-employed as a Handyman. He has general construction knowledge and can tackle many DIY projects. From pouring concrete to carpentry work, Neil made ends meet with the generous support of his friends and family, who became his word of mouth.
Neil is also an IBT 200 alumni. He graduated from the program on May 26th, 2023. Neil spent five weeks with GRID Alternatives, learning all the skills necessary to become a solar installer. Because of what he learned through IBT 200, Neil is more than capable of fulfilling his current role.
In his spare time, Neil loves to travel and explore the world. The Arizona desert is a place he visits often. On the drive there, you'll often hear his favorite rap artist, Tech N9ne (Tech Nine), on the speakers. He also enjoys learning about ancient architecture, like the great pyramids. He believes that they are a technology we still need to understand.
