On Thursday, May 12, 2016, students from George M. DeWolf High School came out to participate on their first installation with GRID Alternatives. Enrolled in the school’s construction technology course, students were eager to get hands-on solar installation experience while helping a local family in need. “It’s really fun doing construction. Doing hands on work—I love that it’s fast learning. It’s easy, it’s not too hard. And I enjoy it. Positive energy” stated DeWolf High School student, Dymond Gaitan. The instructor, Dale Costa proudly watched his students translate skills they learned from class into hands-on solar installation experience. Concluding the school year with a bang, DeWolf students are eager to once again participate next school year on future installations. We look forward to growing our partnership with DeWolf High School in order to continue providing hands-on experience in solar installation.
