Project Manager and AERO Academy alum Jackie Brown returned to her alma mater to share job interview tips and encouragement with students, joined by Co-Executive Director David Griffin for a special appearance. More than 100 students participated in mock interviews and elevator pitch exercises, making the day both exciting and inspiring for everyone involved.
For Jackie, returning to her roots was a meaningful decision. Her passion for GRID’s mission inspired her to reconnect, and she left feeling energized about the future. When Jackie attended AERO Academy at Porterville High, her cohort had just 20–30 students. Today, we saw over 100—many with family already working in the solar industry—a clear sign of incredible growth and opportunity.
A big thank you to Porterville High School, the AERO Academy, and the Pathway Program for welcoming us and giving us the honor of speaking to the next generation of Solar Futures. Special thanks to Stephanie McIntire from PUSD Pathway for making it all possible!
