Meet Toulee!
Toulee began volunteering with GRID Alternatives during the spring of 2015. Having previous experience in warehouse and construction, he found enjoyment working with GRID’s construction staff. After completing the Team Leader syllabus, he was excited about his prospects in the solar industry. He quickly developed a passion and devotion for helping underserved families. As luck would have it, the Central Valley Team was in need of a Solar Installation Assistant and Toulee was a perfect fit. Then in June 2016, Toulee was promoted to Solar Installation Supervisor (SIS). Now he not only is a topnotch installer and SIS, he is also an instructor for the Installation Basics Training (IBT) Program and loves teaching. He enjoys the look on the trainees faces when they succeed and get a job.
Toulee is so motivated by his family, the IBT students and helping underserved communities that his drive of an hour each way from his home makes the time and effort worth the commute. Toulee is a solar superhero by day and a superhero dad of four by night! He loves his wife, two boys and two girls. In his free time, he enjoys his dogs and fishing. Toulee is an awesome member of the GRID team and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the GRID Family.
