“Thank you for your service…” Those are the words frequently heard by veterans throughout the year, especially on November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. GRID Alternatives Central Valley would like to thank, Mr. Frank Gomez for his service to our country and in celebration of this special day, we installed a 4.4 kW dc solar system at his home. Over the years, I, a marine veteran, have volunteered my time during the holiday season to place American flags on the graves of soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice by serving our country. It has not only been an act that brings me an enormous amount of pride, but also an act of commitment to give back to my community. Through the years, I have attended numerous memorial services that honor veterans, and I have attended events that are acknowledging, recognizing and honoring veterans for their service to this great country. Given my opportunity to volunteer with GRID Alternatives, this year has been particularly special to me. As of late September, I was given the honor to represent GRID Alternative Central Valley office as their “Troops to Solar Marine Veteran” team member, which made the installation for Mr. Gomez one of the most memorable to date. On behalf of the GRID Alternatives Family, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your service.”
