Angela brings more than 21 years of community affairs experience in the District of Columbia government to GRID Mid-Atlantic. As the Community Engagement & Advancement manager, she is responsible for building and sustaining a pipeline that guides customer support to clients; establishing a relationship with local utility companies; and training, mentoring, and overseeing the Community Engagement & Advancement team. Her keen ability to connect with non-profit organizations, local government, and faith-based groups allows her to meet constituents where they are throughout the community. Angela is adept in planning events, managing exhibits, and developing strategic plans around community engagement. She has successfully promoted city-wide events and spearheaded programs leading to higher levels of community involvement. She is active in the Community Engagement, Environmental Justice and Health (CEEJH) organization, an environmental advocacy group that offers support to communities fighting against environmental injustice and environmental health disparities. Angela graduated from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently a student at the University of Maryland Global Campus. She is a DC native and is passionate about helping District residents. “No work is insignificant.
