Over the past few months, our team has grown quite a bit. We recently welcomed six new staff members in the North Valley! As our Multifamily department has grown and we’ve taken on new projects, we’ve happily welcomed Bakari who will serve as our Project Developer for Multifamily. In this role, he will develop a strong pipeline of solar projects for multifamily affordable housing, mission-aligned non-profits, and potentially for local community solar initiatives. In our Construction department, Chelsea brings her strong attention to detail to her role as Construction Project Manager. She works closely with our Construction team to collaborate, delegate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Through our SolarCorps Fellowship program, individuals are able to gain valuable experience in the solar and non-profit industries to help launch their renewable energy careers, while making significant contributions to GRID and the low-income communities we serve. We have welcomed two new SolarCorps Fellows to the North Valley office! Carlos will serve as our SolarCorps Construction Fellow in the Construction Department. He participated in our most recent IBT-200 (Installations Basics Training) program cohort and will be contributing to our no-cost solar installations for low-income families.
In our Outreach department, we have Alejandro A. who will serve as our Outreach SolarCorps Fellow and Alexander S. who will serve as our Outreach Coordinator. Both will assist with canvassing low-income communities to spread information about our Energy For All program. They will be under the leadership of Melanie (not pictured), who is the new Outreach Manager. She will lead and oversee outreach to income-qualified homeowners and affordable housing residents who have the opportunity to benefit from no-cost solar power, energy efficiency programs, and/or other GRID programs as well as managing other tasks.
We’re excited to have these new additions to GRID and can’t wait to see the great contributions that they will bring in their roles!
