Moving Forward From the Camp Fire One Year Later

November 8th marked the one year anniversary of the Camp Fire, one of the most destructive wildfires in California history. This event personally impacted many of our own staff and clients here at GRID Alternatives North Valley. Our team has spent the past year regularly participating in the Camp Fire Long Term Recovery Group (CFLTRG) and has been committed to meaningful and active engagement with the local community.

Now, more than ever, there is a major energy burden for the most vulnerable populations in our region. Our aim is to contribute to rebuilding a more resilient community through access to clean energy technology. On the one year anniversary of the fire, many events took place to remember those affected by the disaster, and GRID staff participated in local events around Butte County.

As part of our disaster recovery initiative, next month GRID will be installing solar panels on the homes of two families impacted by the Camp Fire.
