David Green

David Green has a strong interest in the broad areas of sustainability and social justice, and has worked and travelled abroad extensively.  After working as a mechanical engineer for Ingersoll Rand and as a real estate agent, David spent the next 11 years working in remote areas of the world as a science technician, educator, sailor, engineer and guide.  Between job assignments, he arranged to travel and to study sustainability and health & nutrition.   Since arriving in the Bay Area, David has maintained his multi-faceted engagement, working in education, as a sustainable agriculture promoter and entrepreneur.  David joined the steering committee of Power to the People ( to become GRID Alternatives International Program) in 2010, and was drawn to Energy Access SF (now Energy Access Forum) by its mission to empower people through the utilization of sustainable energy, its focus on education and entrepreneurship, and the accompanying benefits of intercultural exchange.
