Carina Flores
Donor Relations Officer
Carina brings over seven years of experience in the Development and Sustainability fields to the GRID Philanthropy team. Before coming to GRID, she worked at the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL, in their Sustainability Division, engaging and educating residents, schools, and businesses in the community on sustainability initiatives supported by the City’s Strategic and Sustainability Action Plans. On the Development end, she has worked under the Director of Development for the nonprofit organization JAFCO, working to raise funds to support their multimillion-dollar operations. Carina uses her unique blend of work experience and knowledge of DEI-centered spaces to positively impact the GRID organization!
Carina holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a specialty in renewable energy from Florida State University. She also has a Sustainability Excellence Associate certification from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from the University of South Florida.
Carina enjoys traveling and adventuring with her family in her free time, especially her 1-year-old! One of her life goals is to hike in all 62 U.S. national parks. So far, she’s gone to 21 and 4 national parks in Canada.
