Carina Flores
Member and Donor Partnerships Senior Coordinator
Carina brings five years of experience in both the Development and Sustainability fields to the GRID team. For the past three years, she has worked at the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL in their Sustainability Division engaging and educating residents, schools, and businesses in the community on sustainability initiatives supported by the City’s Strategic and Sustainability Action Plans. On the Development end, she has worked under the Director of Development for the nonprofit organization, JAFCO, working to raise funds to support their multimillion-dollar operations. Carina believes her unique blend of work experience will lead her to have a positive impact on the GRID organization in her new role!
Carina holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Florida State University. She also has a Sustainability Excellence Associate certification from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace certificate from the University of South Florida.
In her free time, Carina enjoys traveling and adventuring. One of her life goals is to hike in all 62 U.S. national parks. So far, she’s gone to 21 and 4 national parks in Canada.
