Emma Searson

As Managing Policy Director at GRID, Emma leads the organization's legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts to advance an equitable transition to renewable energy for all. She also represents GRID in federal policy matters and at the state level in California, which she now calls home. Before joining the GRID team, Emma spent almost a decade advocating for renewable energy policies with Solar United Neighbors and Environment America. Emma holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, where she studied Environmental Earth Science.
