Solar Industry Employers

IBT 200 can streamline your installer recruitment pipeline and reduce the likelihood of attrition.

Hire graduates from GRID’s IBT 200 training program

GRID’s work and initiatives exposes a diverse group of individuals to solar through our volunteer program, high school and college engagement, community events, skills workshops and more.  These activities help individuals explore their potential interest in solar as a career and generate a pipeline of candidates for IBT 200. Once enrolled in IBT 200, our rigorous recruitment and vetting process confirms trainees' interest, motivation, and preparedness for the solar installer role, and expands the pipeline of qualified candidates that might have otherwise been missed by the solar industry.

IBT 200 participants who achieve a passing score on the capstone assessment will graduate with the complete skill set required to immediately perform and succeed as a Junior Solar Installer. Our trainees are highly qualified, getting hands-on expertise with the latest solar technologies as part of a five-week curriculum vetted by employers.
