Carlos Gomez

Carlos Gomez joined GRID Alternatives as a SolarCorps Construction Fellow in fall 2019. He received a Global Studies degree from UC Riverside and previously worked in the construction/demolition industry at Alta Contracting. In his roles in the safety and HR departments at Alta, Carlos helped standardize Alta’s safety training programs, and he partnered with Career Expansion Inc. to provide direct employment pathways for individuals from under-served communities. Carlos is passionate about giving back to the community and looks forward to promoting GRID’s values and mission of making renewable energy technology and job training accessible to under-served communities. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys going to the gym, hiking, cycling, camping and cooking.
