Partnership is central to the mission of GRID Alternatives. We bring together local affordable housing providers, job training groups, corporate sponsors, government agencies and other community-based organizations with strong roots in each community to make solar happen. Join us!

Corporate Partnerships

Companies that invest in GRID Alternatives are investing in positive, measurable impacts across the country and demonstrating their commitment to environmental and community sustainability. Corporate partners can support our work locally, cross-regionally or nationwide through sponsored workdays for their employees and/or investment in our programs. For local sponsorships, please contact your local GRID Alternatives office. Click here for a list of our organization-wide partnerships.

Equipment Partnerships

Major equipment partners commit to providing large scale donations and low-cost product to support GRID Alternatives' work nationwide. These partners are not only helping us reach more families, but are also putting their high quality products in front of top local installers, prospective consumers, and GRID's thousands of volunteers--the solar workforce of tomorrow.

Government Partnerships

GRID Alternatives works with local, state and Federal government agencies to help them meet their goals for reducing energy use, diversifying their energy portfolios, lowering housing costs in their affordable homeownership programs, and developing a strong local workforce.

Utility Partnerships

We partner with utilities to provide energy cost reductions for low-income families, train local workers, and demonstrate utilities’ commitment to both clean energy and the community.

Affordable Housing Partnerships

GRID Alternatives partners with affordable housing organizations across the United States to help make their housing more environmentally sustainable and lower electricity costs for their low-income residents.

Job Training Partnerships

GRID Alternatives partners with nearly 70 local job training organizations to provide students with hands-on experience to complement classroom learning and prepare them for employment.
