Community Solar

GRID Alternatives Colorado and the Denver Housing Authority, along with local energy businesses such as Namaste, have partnered to establish a Solar Training Academy to help meet the skilled employment demands of Colorado’s growing solar energy sector. Perhaps more importantly, they are recruiting talent from Denver’s underprivileged communities.

Once a year GRID Alternatives celebrates Earth Day through our activities and projects that help people make greener energy choices. As the nation’s largest nonprofit solar installer, GRID is uniquely positioned to make a positive impact in communities plagued with poor air quality.
The Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association, at its annual conference in Denver last week honored GRID Alternatives Colorado for its Coyote Ridge Community Solar Project in Fort Collins, a project of the Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association.
