As 2014 winds down and as we celebrate Thanksgiving, GRID Alternatives Central Coast would like to acknowledge all our wonderful supporters: volunteers, corporate sponsors, partners, community organizations, friends, and family. With your generosity, our Central Coast regional office celebrated our 500th install last month.

GRID Alternatives is fortunate to have a partnership like SunEdison’s whose employees are actively engaged in building solar installation skills and understanding of the industry through hands-on application. On September 23 & 24, 2014, GRID Central Valley had the opportunity to work hand in hand with crews from SunEdison installing solar in Stockton, California.

Leticia Reis, one of our summer interns, came to us by way of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s BioResource and Agricultural Engineering (BRAE) Department. She heard about GRID Alternatives this fall during a partnership with the BRAE Department in which GRID employees participated in a Solar Photovoltaic System Engineering lab course and spoke at several sessions of the class.

We're celebrating a renewal and expansion of our partnership with SunPower including a large-scale donation of high-efficiency solar panels for our work with low-income homeowners.

Teams of women job trainees, solar professionals and top Denver executives came together on the rooftop to help GRID Alternatives and SunEdison kick off a National Women in Solar Initiative.

Enphase employee volunteers came out with GRID to install for a single mother of four.

The Bay's Young Professionals in Energy show that you can learn a lot while giving back.
