Amanda Greó Rivera

Amanda N. Greó Rivera was born and raised in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Her passion for the environment began at a young age, and she always knew she wanted a career closely connected to nature. While in high school, she participated in scientific research programs and projects at the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, earning college credits toward a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Biology. She also studied Agriculture and Hydroponics at the University of Almería in Spain. Amanda's volunteer work with organizations such as the Salvation Army, Red Cross, and AmeriCorps has played an important role in her personal and professional growth. She began her career at GRID Alternatives Puerto Rico as the first SolarCorps Fellow outside the mainland (2023-2024), working as an Assistant Instructor. She now serves as a Program Assistant, supporting the IBT 120 Program of Puerto Rico. In her free time, Amanda enjoys photography, art, and hiking, capturing the beauty of nature, and educating others on environmental conservation.
