Lisa Leombruni

Lisa Leombruni PhD brings her experience in broadcast science media, communication research, education, marketing, fundraising, and environmental policy to GRID Alternatives to serve on the HQ Comms Team. Previously, she co-founded and directed the Strategic Environmental Communication & Media program at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara, where she lectured for 10 years and raised over $1M in student fellowships, instructional support, and research grants. She also has worked for NOVA/WGBH Boston, where she co-developed proposals for new television programs, oversaw media evaluation and impact studies, and raised $3.8M with the Development team; she has also been co-PI on several NSF-funded research grants with NOVA. She has consulted for a variety of clients, including the United Nations, Oxfam America, the Center for American Progress, and Climate Nexus. In her free time, she loves to garden, study herbalism, spend time with her dog, and get outside as much as possible with her partner.
