Fall 2017: We're all interconnected

Dear Friends,

It was such a pleasure to meet so many dedicated GRID Alternatives supporters at GRID’s annual Interconnection event in San Francisco last month. I joined the GRID team in July as Vice President of Development, and I am still learning about the organization and the diverse ways our work inspires people and connects with their passions.

For me, joining GRID was an opportunity to further my own mission of strengthening people and planet through philanthropy.  GRID’s work links social, economic, and environmental systems together to produce tangible returns for frontline communities. Together with our clients, project participants, partners and supporters, we are taking positive action to address climate change in a way that lifts all of us.

My duty at GRID is to promote a culture of philanthropy that enables us to secure the financial resources that we need to continue building and expanding this work. To accomplish that, I am focused on strengthening relationships with our diverse network of supporters, from generous individuals and families, to socially responsible businesses and corporations, to strategic foundations and public agencies. We need all sectors – public, private, and philanthropic -- to advance innovative solutions to the incredible challenges facing us today.

As I get to know this community, I am continually impressed by the dedication, passion and collaborative spirit of everyone around me, and am grateful for your generous gifts of time, energy and financial resources. If you haven’t given to GRID this year, there’s no better time than now. Please contribute in whatever way you can.

We are all interconnected, and together we can make a difference.
