New solar array to benefit low income AEC customers

ANZA – GRID Alternatives Inland Empire, an affiliate of GRID Alternatives which makes clean renewable energy technology and job training accessible to communities who need it most, was awarded a $2.05 million grant under the California Department of Community Services and Development Low-income Weatherization Program, Community Solar Pilot Program and recently broke ground on its largest community-scale solar project to date.

Redwood Valley Rancheria Gets Solar

As you exit Highway 101 and drive into Redwood Valley Rancheria, you can see the scorched slopes of the surrounding hills - evidence of how close the fires came to destroying this lovely valley. The dead trees stand as a reminder even though the grass is green and lush under them. It’s been two years since the fire took several homes in this community, leaving tribal members in FEMA trailers waiting for their homes to be rebuilt.
