GRID Mid-Atlantic Solar Showcasing

Wed, 10/9/2019 | 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

1142 First St NW, Washington, DC

Ever considered going solar? Join GRID Alternatives Mid-Atlantic and Preola Lee as they host a showcasing of Ms. Lee's solar panels.

GRID Mid-Atlantic joins forces with the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development's (CNHED) Community Development Week and Solar United Neighbor's National Solar Tour to create an event to showcase the benefits of going solar.

Join us for refreshments at Ms. Lee's house to learn about how you can go solar and spread GRID's mission. The GRID Mid-Atlantic team will give the rundown of how solar works and their NO-COST solar program for income-qualified, D.C. residents.

Ms. Lee's installation was done through Solar for All, a program of the District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment, seeks to provide the benefits of solar electricity to 100,000 low-income households and reduce their energy bills by 50% by 2032. The program, which was established by the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Expansion Amendment Act of 2016, is funded by the Renewable Energy Development Fund (REDF).
