Monica de la Cruz

Monica de la Cruz supports the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing Program Administrators team as the Senior Marketing, Education & Outreach Specialist. Monica brings on-the-ground experience conducting local, community-based outreach for the SOMAH program in San Diego's environmental justice communities. She's applied communications and community engagement expertise to a variety of nonprofit roles, from voter outreach for progressive political campaigns to volunteer recruitment for literacy programs in underserved elementary schools. Monica holds a B.A. in Literature and Cultural Studies from University of California San Diego. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her bike and advocating for affordable housing solutions, safer streets and more accessible urban environments.
