Sarah Salem

When Sarah began volunteering with GRID in the summer of 2018, she found the unlikely union of her passions for design, environmentalism, and social justice. Having earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University and a master's from UCSB: Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, Sarah believes in bringing forward the voices and stories of those most impacted by climate change. As an Egyptian-American, Sarah has seen firsthand how developing nations and communities of color are both often left out of the conversations that impact them the most. In her role as GRID's Community Engagement Manager, Sarah strives to break that cycle and provide an equitable and inclusive approach to the way GRID serves communities throughout all its regional offices.
