Their lives, intertwined with the rhythms of nature and economic fluctuations, are a testament to their commitment to agricultural success. Recently, Doña Mariana and Mónaco have observed the remarkable impact of solar irrigation systems in their community, as neighbors transform into leading producers through sustainable practices. Inspired by these advancements, they are eager to adopt solar irrigation themselves.

In 2025, GRID is working with the Palacios farm to install a solar irrigation system to bring a source of reliable, renewable electricity to their family farm. The shift to solar irrigation promises not only environmental benefits but also substantial financial savings, potentially up to $800 annually. The savings will allow them to expand their crop variety and hire additional labor, contributing to the local economy by providing employment opportunities. Mariana and Mónaco's aspirations for growth and sustainability shine as a beacon of hope and inspiration, encouraging their fellow farmers to embrace innovative solutions for a prosperous future.
