CA State Grant Providing Free Rooftop Solar to Families
Ending January 31, 2025
January 15, 2025, Los Angeles, California—The five-year grant period with the Green Together Collaborative, funded by Transformative Climate Communities, which has brought clean energy, free trees, and other resources and services to Pacoima and Sun Valley, will end on January 31, 2025.
Nonprofit organization GRID Alternatives, Greater Los Angeles (GRID GLA), has installed free rooftop solar panels for over 50 homes in the Pacoima area during the grant period. There is still funding available to install free rooftop solar. Applications must be submitted by January 31, 2025, to qualify.

Who can qualify:
- Renters and Homeowners who live in area codes 91331, 91340, 91352
- Renters or Homeowners whose total household income is on or below these thresholds
- Household size 1: $77,700
- Household size 2: $88,800
- Household size 3: $99,900
- Household size 4: $110,950
- Household size 5: $119,850
- Household size 6: $128,750
