Join our board | Make solar accessible to communities of color

GRID Alternatives Central Valley Fresno is a social justice-based 501(c)(3) organization that provides no-cost solar installations and solar job training in California’s Central Valley. Through partnerships with local government agencies, corporations, housing providers, and local communities, GRID Central Valley Fresno provides solar energy at no cost to income-qualified homeowners and communities of color. GRID Central Valley Fresno Workforce training programs give participants, including those without experience in solar or construction, an opportunity to enter the growing solar industry.

We are currently seeking board members who are interested in and committed to building community-powered solutions to advance economic and environmental justice through renewable energy. Our board members are strategic partners ensuring that we continue to deliver on our mission and deepen the reach and impact of our work in meaningful ways. We invite you to join us by becoming a member of our Board.

We seek to add board members who bring a depth of experience, passion, and diversity to support our continued growth and development.  Individuals with the background, skills, and experience in the following are encouraged to reach out to us:

Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity

Philanthropy and/or fundraising

Community organizing

Workforce development

Solar and/or Renewable energy

Nonprofit management

Strategic partnership

Interested in joining our Central Valley Fresno Board and believe your experience aligns with our Mission, please send an email to David Griffin or Karina Gonzalez, Central Valley Fresno Co-Executive Directors and let us know about your experience as well as how you hope to contribute to our work in the communities. Please be sure to include “Board Member” in the email subject line. Also, if you know someone who cares about community-powered solar solutions who could be a great fit then please email David or Karina their contact information.
