GRID Alternatives Mid-Atlantic landed on the map “not with a whisper, but with a bang, a big bang,” as District of Columbia Housing Authority Director Adrianne Todman put it. Around 300 people came out to help us install 19 kW of clean, renewable solar power for ten deserving families, and spread the word that solar can and should benefit everyone.

We're launching our Solar Affordable Housing Program in the Mid-Atlantic region! The EPA's Gina McCarthy, HUD’s Julian Castro, & White House officials came out to celebrate with us and shine a spotlight on access to solar power for low-income families.

GRID is hosting a special volunteer orientation on Thursday, September 18th, exclusively for women. If you are interested or you know others who may be interested, come to the offices of LEAD Inc. in Lincoln Heights to network, connect to the solar industry and learn how to obtain hands-on solar experience while giving back to your community.

On July 31, GRID Alternatives Central Coast hosted their third Sip & Solar event at Clavo Cellars in Templeton reintroduces GRID Alternatives to the community.

We’re back in Denver after a spectacular week bringing our program state wide with our Solar Road Show, which included installations in Durango, Grand Junction and the Roaring Fork Valley.

GRID Alternatives, in partnership with PG&E Pacific Energy Center, hosted our second annual Solar Jobs Fair in conjunction with the Intersolar conference in San Francisco.
