Volunteers

From March 2nd to the 7th, seven amazing students from the University of Vermont brought with them such a strong wave of enthusiasm, curiosity, and optimism that will not soon be forgotten at the Central Coast office.

What is SolarCorps?

The national SolarCorps Fellowship Program is an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to join GRID Alternatives for an 11-month, paid term of service to their community.

As a new year begins at GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles, we?re rolling up our sleeves and gearing up for another successful year. This year we?re looking to outdo ourselves by building on last year?s success as we aim to increase access to solar power in the communities we serve. Is it all talk? No way, we got the numbers to prove it!
On Friday, December 13th, GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Social. With more than 100 guests in attendance, positive energy flowed throughout the GLA warehouse. Attendees included experienced team leaders, generous volunteers who have donated their time over the years, as well as job trainees and professors from our various partner job training groups.
Rich Gordon is one of those volunteers that every non-profit hopes to have. He is dedicated, passionate, and volunteers.... a LOT. In fact, in just over a year, he has put in over 450 hours of volunteer time, including time at two Solarthons and becoming the star Team Leader in the GRID Alternatives North Valley office.
