Hanne Williams-Baron, who uses she/her pronouns, is one of 56 recipients of electric bikes that were distributed through the Berkeley E-Bike Equity Project (BEEP).

Assistant Pastor Larry Bonds and his late wife, Donna, spent 22 years of their life together fostering over 125 special needs infants. Larry and Donna had four biological children but felt that they were led by God to adopt six of the children they were fostering and adding to their family.

A successful solar installation for Keisha Daniels, co-founder of a nonprofit called Sisters of Watts, which supports families with services like free backpacks, toys, food, and haircuts, and with events like youth clean up days and a peace march for youth. Last December, GRID installed free solar panels on the home of Robin Daniels, Keisha's sister and nonprofit co-founder.

Patricia, a recent GRID client and lifelong Stocktonian committed to advocating for her community’s access to mental health and housing services, especially for unhoused and underserved communities, serves on the Stockton Mayor's Round Table on Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) committee, as Commissioner of the Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin, and is vice-chair of the city’s Behaviour Health Advisory Board.

Three months ago, GRID installed a solar photovoltaic system for Anna, a resident of Berry Creek Rancheria, through our no-cost solar program Energy for All and a partnership with Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority.

A Stockton resident for 55 years, Ms. Audrey is the definition of a community leader. Three times a week, she volunteers at the Northeast Community Center, and twice a week, she takes line dancing classes at Stribley Community Center. It’s this community spirit that eventually led to her partial re-roof and solar installation with GRID this summer at no cost to her.   

Morgan lives in San Mateo County and helps care for her mother who needs medical assistance. She was able to buy an electric vehicle (EV) through the used EV rebate program offered by GRID Alternatives Bay Area in partnership with Peninsula Clean Energy, the official electricity provider for San Mateo County and the city of Los Banos.
