How did you come to GRID?
It all started in 2017 when I met Carmen. I was charging my Fiat 500e at the Pittsburg Library when I saw the Grid banner. At the time I was living with my parents in Pittsburg and knew they could benefit from the GRID program. I called the 1-800 number and a few weeks later Carmen came to visit us. I had a deep connection with her and throughout the years I stayed in touch with her. Back in March 2022 I decided to give her a call to ask her a question regarding batteries. She gave me the information I needed and asked if I knew anyone or I myself was interested in working for GRID. At the time I was working as a Roofing Construction Project Manager for a well known solar company in the area. I contemplated the career change for a few weeks and went ahead and applied. By far it has been the best decision I've made in my life.

What GRID value most resonates with you?
People and Planet. The fact that I'm helping the underserved communities brings HUGE joy to my life. By doing so we are helping out our planet.

What is your favorite GRID moment?
So far it has to be the retreat we had in the beginning of June. Never have I worked for an organization that puts so much effort into employee enrichment.
