Press Release - Low-Income Colorado Communities to Gain Access to Solar Power

May 30, 2013 Denver, Colo. GRID Alternatives Colorado formally kicked off its Solar Affordable Housing Program today by installing a solar electric system at no cost for a low-income family in Denvers Elyria Swansea neighborhood. The program, getting underway this summer, will bring clean, affordable solar power to low-income homeowners in the state while providing volunteers and job trainees with hands-on installation experience.

GRID Alternatives in the Antelope Valley

GRID Alternatives launched its nonprofit solar installation and solar jobs training program in the Antelope Valley in partnership with the City of Palmdale, the University of Antelope Valley, and a SunPower sponsor team. High School students gain experience installing solar power
